Wednesday July 12th is Primal Potential’s 3rd anniversary. Pretty crazy, right? The very most important thing to say today is THANK YOU.
Primal Potential wouldn’t exist without you & it exists for you. In today’s episode I’m sharing some ideas I have for making this community even more fun & transformative for you.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making Primal Potential what it is and everything it will become. I am beyond grateful for you!
If you want to help me celebrate, it would mean the world to me if you’d take a second to leave a rating & review of the podcast on iTunes (Apple Music) or wherever your listen.

How To Leave A Rating & Review (thank you!!!)
1. Yes. One on one coaching for podcasts! I love knowing people have the same or similar struggles and learning from others. Id love to do it
2. NOOOO. I love reading your blogs. Sometimes I’m unable to listen to audio for whatever reason (kids. Usually kids). If I’m having a specific problem I often will search for it on the PP page and the blogs will pop up. I don’t always read them daily, sometimes I forget and I’ll binge read, a week or 2 so I understand why youd consider changing it but this listener’s vote is no thanks!
Thanks so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it! Just to note – adding an audio element wouldn’t take them off the blog. They’d still be blogs and if that is your preference, it will still be there for you. I’m just trying to find a way to add the most value to the most people so Primal Potential has an ever increasing impact.
I love the idea of the one on one podcast. I think it would be very beneficial for everyone.
Thanks Katrina!
YES!!! Free coaching session sounds awesome! I would 100% be willing to be a part of that! I am also a binge reader. For me…. I listen ALL THE TIME and can’t wait to see the topics of new episodes that are posted. I am a working mother of 2 and find that the PP podcasts have become part of the, “me time/self-care” that I enjoy so much! Thanks for all that you do! You are making such a difference in so many lives!!!! Mine included!
Thanks so much for your feedback, Jamie! It means a lot to me and I’m so glad you’re enjoying the podcast!
I definitely support the idea of more audio resources. Like you, I use Audible for books. I’ve learned so much by being able to listen, instead of reading. I listen to your podcasts, but have far less time to read. Additional audio would be fabulous. Thanks for asking.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, you’re right – audio would be in addition to written π
I am assuming that Elizabeth meant audio in ADDITION to written blogs and NOT in lieu of blogs. It is definitely useful to be able to search text to find a particular subject. However, for me it is often easier to consume audio content.
I would love the ability to listen to your blog posts. With 2 kids under 3 I just don’t have the time to sit down and read them.
I also see great value in coaching calls on the podcast and would listen to every one.
Thanks for everything you do!
Thanks Laura!!
Audio blog is the best idea ever! I rarely read them because I just forget it’s there but I listen to the podcasts when I’m cleaning, driving, etc. please do it! And huge happy anniversary to you and PP.
Thanks Nancy! Your feedback means a lot to me! π
I love the coaching session idea! I always enjoy listening to episodes that showcase your conversations with your coaching clients. I find that I learn a lot from those episodes and would love to hear more. Thank you for the podcast!
Great! Thanks Candace!
I would love to hear from others via podcast with private coaching from you! I think that would be hugely beneficial!
I LOVE the ideas of audio blogs as well as keeping them written. As a suggestion, I would love to see how you spend your weekend’s too (meaning, food & workout/struggles & wins)…but it is fun to hear about your adventures as well and ALL that you learn from them! I feel like you mentioned 3 things in the podcast…Here’s something I just thought of, I love the audio, because you can HEAR in your voice as opposed to reading it your passion for what you do or what you have been through in your life…can’t always capture that in “type”…ABSOLUTELY psyched for you and your big ole’ giant win with Kayaking Sunday….a GREAT day indeed…but there was sooooo much to that day! I wouldn’t have wanted to run my mascara either π I’m super proud of you, super blessed by you and all around thrilled for you! Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Kristi! I’ll give some thought to how I can share more about my weekends while not requiring me to be at my computer to write 7 days a week. I’ve been thinking about an anchor channel for that. TBD. I really appreciate your feedback.
Just found you at the beinging of June but am really enjoying the podcast!!!!!
1.) No that does not appeal to me. I personally enjoy the way the podcast are formated now.
2.) Yes if it could be like the daily motivation audio clips that would be amazing!!!!! Plus I would not mind including the workouts in the audio.
Thanks Elizabeth! Quick follow up question – does that mean you do not enjoy the FLFT client episodes? Just curious and want to make sure I understand what you enjoy and don’t enjoy.
I’m not elizabeth (either one of you!) but I wanted to chime in…. the FLFT client episodes are ok, but really not my favorite. I do understand that you need to sell your product and this is one way to do it. I really get that! but that doesn’t mean I love it. just being honest. I am a huge fan of primal potential though! and in order for PP to stay around you need to do your advertising, so you need to do everything you can to keep this boat going!
Totally get that. I really appreciate your feedback. I know some people love my solo shows and don’t love non solo shows and for others, the opposite is true. Always try to bring variety because I know there are nuggets of value in both. As I mention on those episodes, I don’t do them for the pure sake of sales or promotion – I’m sure the FLFTs would sell out either way – but I think hearing other perspectives and challenges can be really helpful. The great thing about podcasts is that you get to choose which episodes you listen to. π
Hey EB! Here is my feedback…
1. YES – please do the audio blog. I read the blog post yesterday and then listened to it this morning as part of your podcast. The audio version was so much more impactful for me. You have a gift to connect and to motivate. I think that is more powerful in your audio vs written communication. I listen to your podcasts driving to work. Great way to start the day. I would get great value from having access to audio blogs on the days there is not a new podcast.
2. Free coaching. The podcasts of you coaching someone are some of my favorite. But rather than do “first come first serve” for these you may consider picking a specific topic that you want to cover and soliciting people who you can coach on the subject that you want to cover/share with your audience.
Great idea about the coaching. I’ll give that some thought. Thanks for your feedback, it means a lot to me!
BC, Your coaching suggestion with regard to specific topics is great π
Love this ! Thanks for sharing. I love to hear how YOU actually put into practice what you “preach” LOL! (Not that you preach… ) anyway, it’s nice to hear actual examples of the tactics in action. very helpful.
I’m so glad! Thanks Nancy!
Congratultions on three years of primal potential!! First of all, thank you for helping all of your listeners so much for the last three years! I’ve only been listening since the beginning of this year, but I’ve come so far from the dieting mindset that I’ve had for the vast majority of the last 13 years of my life. Secondly, I love your ideas for the free coaching calls! I’ve loved the episodes where you’ve had your fat loss fast track members talk, so I know that the coaching calls would likely help even more with people who might be coming from a similar place I (and others) are at.
Thirdly, I am also a very audio Driven person. Having two small children and my own home business, it is so much easier for me to listen to things than to take time to read! I really hope you go that direction!
Thank you so much for all you do to bless the socks off of your listeners!
Thank you Chelsea, for both your support & your feedback! I’m totally with you on the audio! It’s much easier for me. Stay in touch!!
LOVE both ideas!!! You are selfless and so genuinely helpful and that is so clear in your work. A true inspiration!
Thanks Val!
Hi E!
First of all, congratulations on primal’s third anniversary!
Regarding your questions:
1. I’d love the idea of you coaching people outside of the FLFTs. It would be really interesting to hear you coach someone who hasn’t gone through any FLFT.
I personally would like to sign up now if i could, since i know it might be the only chance i have to have a one-on-one conversation with you (i sincerely can’t afford to join the FLFT yet, sadly) and i’d love to.
2. I have many of your blog posts in my “to-read” list. Every once in a while i sit and read a lot of them at once. They’re really enjoyable, great if i can’t listen at the moment but pretty time consuming, so i’m thinking… Maybe create a podcast where you only upload blog-dios? I don’t know how platforms’ approval systems work (especially spotify’s) so i don’t know how that would go. I use my computer to check my mail because my phone sucks so that’s why i’m thinking of a mobile-friendly way to listen to your blog-dios without having to use my e-mail.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on that, i’ll be writing to you if i come up with another idea.
Thank you for everything you do, E.
Thank you for sharing your life with all of us.
Thank you for giving me the tools to change my life.
Thank you for existing!
I love, admire and respect you so much.
Hope you have a beautiful day.
Kisses from Argentina!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it!
Yes! The one-on-one coaching would be awesome to listen to! It would be helpful hear about other people’s struggles. I do like reading your blogs at the end of the day, but I enjoy listening to the podcasts when I’m putting my makeup on in the morning. So, I am a fan of both. Your blogs AND the podcasts have been really impacting my thought process about food, nutrition, exercise, etc. I LOVE YOUR MESSAGE! Every time I listen or read something you have posted I say to myself, “God, that girl is on FIRE!”. Congratulations on the three-year anniversary!
Thank you Moira!!
Hi, Elizabeth, Happy Anniversary! I really enjoy listening to your 1-1 conversations, so I think that is a great idea…and I am one of those people who don’t read the blog, but I LISTEN to stuff all the time and I would definitely listen to your blogs in audio format. I have two other ideas I wonder if others would appreciate. 1) You could do a panel discussion with 2 -3 people around a topic – not really group coaching, but letting them share their experiences, tools and strategies with the rest of us. 2) You might consider letting one of us interview you from time to time…I enjoyed you AMA episode recently, but I think it would be fun to hear you in and interview format.
Those are GREAT ideas, Vickie! Thanks for sharing them!
Hi! I love both your ideas! Coaching calls would be fab for so many reasons and I would love to hear your blogs as podcasts because although I read them religiously it’s often nice to hear things several times to get the message! Thanks for all that you do xxx
Thanks for your feedback Claire! It means a lot to me!
I do read the written blogs. I think the audio blog would be fine as long as it didn’t take the place of any of the three podcasts. The free coaching is nice, too. I tend to prefer your solo podcasts better than your interview podcasts the interview/coaching ones are fine but I kind of prefer the solo ones. so, hopefully it wouldn’t replace TOO many of the solo ones… I would say twice a month would be good, but I am only a single voice. basically what I am saying here is that you are rocking it as is and it’s nice that you are looking for ways to improve, but I am happy with the current format of things!!
Thanks for the feedback, Valerie! Nope, audio blogs wouldn’t take the place of written and I’ll absolutely continue to have the majority of the podcast be solo shows. Make it a great day!
Happy anniversary! What an amazing achievement, and how life changing for all of us! Thank you so much for offering up your time, expertise and experiences , Elizabeth. I’m learning so, so much from you and can’t thank you enough!
I love the idea of one-on-one coaching, and will definitely be keeping an eye out for the timetable if/when this happens. Would be more than happy to have an interview shared with the Primal community, and think that listening to others would be really informative and helpful.
I’m one of the terrible people who doesn’t tend to read the blog much so can’t say whether or not an audio element would be good to add on, but I do love the podcasts and enjoy listening to them while I walk to work so would definitely give it a go if you added this element to the website. Hearing things tends to stick with me better than reading them so I would say it would help me!
Excited to see what the next year has in store! X
Thanks Bec! I really appreciate your feedback!
Love this idea!!! Congratulations on 3 whole years! I would absolutely be more apt to listen to the daily blog rather than read it. I commute to work an hour each way and I listen to books, podcasts, etc the whole time.
Great! Thanks Emma!
Good morning,
Blog in podcast⦠great idea!!
I just started listening to you on May and I love it, I have desk job so I put one earphone and listen to the podcast everyday if possible, but I donβt have a chance to go and read the blogs, so for me thatβs helpfulβ¦ to make sure I donβt miss anything there =)
On the one on one coaching is cool too, it is nice to hear other people having problems and overcoming them. Showing that ourselves are not the only ones struggling
Thanks so much for your feedback, Gloria! π
Yes to one on one, some of my favorite episodes are of you highlighting simple solutions for everyday real people. I can always seem to relate to them, and yes to audio. I can’t seem to concentrate on reading with my kids around so it’s much easier to listen, although that might just be my preferred way of learning.
Thanks Jami! We’re very much alike with the audio stuff – my preferred way of learning, too!
Love, love, love the idea of coaching sessions on your podcast. I love listening to these, and I always seem to find something that’s applicable to my life.
Awesome! Thanks Dawn!
Yes coaching would be awesome. I have listened to a few lately where you had people on and they are some of my favorites, like 354 (so many good messages).
I’m like you and love to listen to things. I don’t read your blog but definitely would listen to it. After you read it on this podcast I thought to myself I should read this.
So glad I found you, happy as can be to be in rookie FLFT Summer!
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!
Thanks so much Heather!
Yes yes yes to hearing from more people from all different walks of life who are on all different points of their path! What a wonderful way to reach and help those who can’t afford the fees. Very generous and lovely! Happy anniversary!
Thanks Crystal! I really appreciate the feedback!
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary and thank you for the help and support.
I love the idea of being able to sign up for coaching calls.
I agree that having an audio version of the blogs would be beneficial as I like to listen while driving, cooking or getting dressed in the morning.
Thank you for being so accessible to so many people.
Thanks Heidi! I really appreciate your feedback!
Happy Anniversary Elizabeth! Reading your blogs on the podcast- yes! (I commute 2 hours each way and if I am in front of the computer I am working!) One on one coaching calls on the podcast- yes! Sometimes we think we are the only ones in our situation & don’t know what to do. Plus you know that advice doesn’t only apply to one situation. I think this would be extremely helpful. I know you have links to related topics on your site, but I was thinking maybe an emergency help tab on the site where you have these things grouped might help. I was thinking about podcast with the voice notes from you & your client. Sometimes we get lost in the problem and this might be a good idea. Thanks for all your support! You are one of the best things about my weight loss journey & your support has been invaluable!
Great ideas! Thanks for taking the time to send your feedback!
I enjoy the podcast and appreciate the live coaching sessions so I like that idea. I can’t seem to get into blogs whether I am reading them or listening to them. Happy 3rd year anniversary! I learn something new every time I listen to your podcast and your FLFT webinars.
Thanks so much for your feedback! π
Free coaching sounds wonderful! I would definitely take advantage of that and I’m sure some of my questions/issues will be addressed by other peoples coaching session. Great idea! Happy 3rd!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to send your feedback!
Happy Anniversary & Happy Birthday Beautiful!!!!!
I’m so grateful for your continued commitment to constant and never ending improvement. You have built an amazing platform of resources and content that really address what it takes to change.
I would love the opportunity to have a 1 on 1 coaching call. I do prefer just you vs interviews (just feel like I have you all to myself) but I do think the interviews are so valuable especially when I indentify with client being interviewed. I know so much support and wisdom will come out of the calls. Maybe you can have a another podcast just on coaching calls or a section on the website. I just discovered the blogs (LOVE THEM) I feel so much closer and get a lot out of reading them. Audio them, hell yes. I take you everywhere with me.
Congratulations on your success. Your light shines so bright you bravely give others the opportunity to shine too.
I believe in you so much that if you were a stock I’d invest.
With much love and gratitude
You are the sweetest – thanks so much for taking the time to send your love & feedback!! xoxo
I love your daily blogs. But when you read them, I think their impact increases exponentially. Hearing your inflection and emotion makes it feel like we are really there with you, through the big wins and the frustration and wveryrhing in-between. You’re a great story teller. You could read me a story every night before bed and I would have sweet dreams of kicking ass.
Thanks Kristi! You put a big smile on my face.
Yes to one on one coaching i love listening to other people’s experiences and its really helpful. Yes to audio for blogs maybecreate another podcast like you did for daily motivations but specifically for your blogs.
Thanks again for helping me be real about weight.
Thanks so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it!
I love both ideas! I would love to hear you coach someone from the beginning of their journey, but also really enjoyed hearing your blog about the kayaking. I never read blogs anymore, so having that content in audio would be wonderful. You can’t go wrong with either one! Happy anniversary & thank you for all you do!!
Thanks so much for your feedback Jennifer!
Yes, so much yes, to the free one on one coaching to be aired later! Where do I sign up for that?!? And about the blogs…I honestly haven’t read them but I did glance over at them before posting this. I do like the workout being listed, sometimes I need fresh ideas!
Thanks Allison! There’s no sign up yet – just getting a sense of whether or not people like the idea. More info to come on the blog and podcast. Thanks so much for your feedback!
Hey EB.
1. Are you kidding??! The coaching idea is a dream come true for me. As an FLFT graduate, one of the things that made it so powerful is how you would take highlights from the FB group and do coaching on them. Sometimes people ask questions you also have or even if is not the exact same issue, you are able to take the lesson and apply it to your own situation.
2. I’m one of those who miss out on the blogs bcoz I just don’t have the time to sit and read and I’m not a fast reader either so I would def appreciate an option to listen. I feel like you had me in mind on this one
3. I think adding an element of Q & A or mailbag maybe once a month would be really awesome. You used to do it earlier on and I loved those! Maybe have an option on the site for people to record a voice note questions.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Thulz! I’ve started incorporating the audio into the blogs and I’ll launch the coaching format in Aug. Totally agree about Q&A. I used to do that & got away from it. xoxo
Side note: you are a very talented reader ( as in reading something out loud) you could totally get paid narrating some of the awesome books on Audible as a side gig :):)
Haha. You’re so sweet!
Yes, please do the audio blog! I can never find the time to read the blog, but it would be perfect to listen to when I’m walking to/from work.
An idea for the one on one coaching: if you discuss a certain area of struggle with someone – have them come back for a follow up. Then you could discuss what was hard/easy to implement and how it went. Further reflections. Maybe you could edit the episode so that the first part was discussing something before implementing strategies and then part two of the same pod cast would be the “follow up” part evaluating the outcome.
Great ideas!! Thank you so much. I’ve been incorporating the audio blogs for the past couple of days and I’ll be launching the interview format in Aug. Really appreciate the feedback!
I love he idea of coaching calls being shared. I always get a lot from ones with your groups the last few weeks.
I am like you I listen more than I read. I really like you sharing your blogs. Problem for me would be lots more listening. Condensing a weeks blogs into one might be best., or a way that we could binge listen several at one time.
Awesome! Thanks Shirley!
I also love the idea of the coaching calls. I agree that I could learn through your coaching of someone with similar struggles as I have. I would love to be one of those that get to grab a one on one with you π
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely be moving forward with them, in August, stay tuned & stay in touch!
I see a lot of vloggers providing a transcript option for people that prefer to read. I think it’s great to have multiple options if its feasible. I too love consuming media while driving (nom nom), so converting blogs to audio would be a plus for me.
I might be in the minority; I only access your podcasts through the website.
Thank you for providing so much free content that’s truly value added!
Hi Brenda! Thanks so much for your feedback! I really appreciate & agree about transcripts. I did them for a few months for every podcast episode and they weren’t being downloaded so, since they aren’t free, I made the decision to stop producing them. With that said, if things change and the demand grows, I’ll absolutely return to making them available. Never hesitate to reach out if you have other suggestions or feedback!
YES on free coaching sessions and sharing those with us via the podcast: GREAT idea!
And YES also on audio version of the blog. I’m one of those people who much prefers to listen, and I think the content of your blog is super powerful indeed. Great way to share it with more people.
Glad you’re reaching out to us for feedback! I listen to the podcast and often take notes, and am enrolled in the current FLFT. Your content makes me think and helps me make progress. But the voice notes, not so much. I’m not always (or often) in a place where I can listen to them without dropping what I’m doing and finding a quiet place where I won’t bother others. I don’t listen to stuff on my phone. I know this is your preferred method of communication, but for many of us, reading is the way to go.
Thanks for this feedback! The blogs won’t be going away in text – they’re still going to be written out for sure π Voice notes though – if you email me and don’t want my response via voice note, just put that in the email and I’ll happily type a response π I do voice notes on email because it’s faster with the volume of emails I’m responding to but if you remind me when you email that you don’t want a vn, you won’t get one π Within the FLFT I try to give a mix of written & audio.
Congrats on the 3rd Anniversary! I love Primal Potential and I am doing catch up as usually on episodes π I want to say that I listen to a lot more audio to help my mindset. I fully appreciate the new Anchor resources for the blog!. I also welcome the calendar idea for coaching opportunity. It is great idea and a positive to place it on the podcast so everyone can continually grow and learn more.
Yay! Thanks so much for your feedback, Kaci. It really means a lot to me. I’m definitely going to move forward with the coaching opportunities and so happy to hear that you’re enjoying Anchor! I am too! Stay in touch!
Just listened to 3rd anniversary podcast. First of all, so many congratulations on being where you are. I also love (from the AMA session) how you say your goal is to make every day as amazing as possible and not strive for perfection. I am an audio person, as the only reading I usually do is for work or for relaxation (e.g. novels). That does not leave me sitting at a computer more than necessary – so audio Podcasts are great! You have so much valuable stories and lessons for us all. I would love to hear more on audio. As far as one-to-one sessions being provided with the return of sharing the learning, I think that is brilliant and I hope you get a lot of people volunteering.
I am a DDP Yoga Instructor and have the opportunity to work with more than 100 people each week. You are one person who I refer people to ALL the time. I am also a formerly obese individual and I often listen to your podcasts while driving in and out of work – loving the reminders on how to live mindfully, imperfectly, moderately, seeking always to practice healthy behaviours and being as consistent as possible. THANK YOU.
Thank you so much for the love & support!!
