725: Carrying Emotional Burdens

725: Carrying Emotional Burdens

In today’s Q&A listeners episode, we’re opening a conversation on emotional burdens and how they’re an important part of the journey.

This episode’s winner gets a Vanilla GBX protein! https://www.myamareglobal.com/30968/GBXProtein

Here’s the list of the questions from our listeners that we’re discussing this Saturday:

  • Can you talk about making “big” decisions? For example, when EB decided to invest in the business Mastermind group, what were the thoughts and processes? I know you have touched on this somewhat in various podcasts, but I’d love for you to take us back to the moment you signed on.
  • How to keep doing what you need to do for yourself when you’re living in perpetual stress (a sick parent, an alcoholic husband, a wayward child, etc)?
  • How can we trust that everything will be okay?
  • I lost weight and then gained it all back. I feel embarrassed and although I know I did it once so I can do it again it feels so much harder. I’m really struggling with body image issues which also makes things harder because of the negative self-talk.
  • How not to carry an emotional burden, when bad or unfair things have happened to you? Or is it okay to feel/react on those occasions? This might sound really stupid, but hopefully, you’ll understand what I’m after. Like if someone just treats you really bad, and it genuinely hurts, and you know that you should not react, but it feels unhumanly Teflon-like not to react or feel bad. Can you just have/live the emotions, and still stay on course/be okay? This is one of my biggest struggles.

We have the winner for today’s giveaway at the end of the episode! They get a Vanilla GBX protein: https://www.myamareglobal.com/30968/GBXProtein

Best Workout Clothes – Top 5

Working out isn’t always easy. When you do the work to motivate yourself and show up, the last thing you want is to be distracted by your clothes.

You can’t possibly get in your best workout when you’re tugging at your pants or constantly readjusting your bra.

I’ve gone through workouts where I’m more focused on making sure my boobs don’t fall out of my bra than I am on the workout itself.

Not ideal.

The challenge is: most great workout clothes are expensive! I know it’s all relative, but spending $70 on a sports bra or $85 on a pair of leggings doesn’t get me excited.

I workout daily and often work and run errands in the clothes I’ll wear to the gym. I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing the same bra 4 times a week or that I only have 2 pairs of leggings to choose from (been there, done that).

Fortunately, affordable, cute, supportive workout clothes have become a real passion of mine and Fabletics delivers the trifecta:

  1. Their clothes are generally less than half the price of what’s available through other industry leaders like Reebok, Nike, Lululemon or Athleta. For example, from Fabletics, you can get 2 pairs of leggings for $24. Leggings from those other brands are often between $70 and $120! Their sports bras are in the $20 range and as of when I’m writing this, they have a ton on sale for under $20! And, a ton of their stuff is on HUGE sale right now!
  2. The quality is on point! They have a wide variety of sports bras that are full coverage so you can jump and run without popping out of the top. Their leggings move with you – no sagging!
  3. CUTENESS OVERLOAD. They have a ton of great patterns and colors, or if you’re like me, they have a huge array of basic solid colors. I have no problem wearing Fabletics while running errands or meeting friends for coffee.

Let’s talk about my favorites. I prefer bras with a higher neck line, full length leggings and flattering tank tops. I’m also a sucker for a great sweatshirt or jacket! They certainly have tons of other styles, but my favorites are based on my personal style and items I’ve tried and loved. They’re in no particular order.

Please note: If you’re new to Fabletics, make sure to register through my podcast link here. Doing so will help you save on your first order – you’ll be eligible for that 2 for $24 leggings deal. Before you browse the items below, take a second to register here.

Lexi Midi Sports Bra

This one is presently on sale for less than $20! Grab it up! Even regularly priced, however, it’s a steal!

Marcia Sports Bra

I love the look and the support! I have the matching leggings, too! This one is presently on sale as well!

Lotta Cocoon Hoodie

It has partial zippers on each side, pockets and a hood. This one was an immediate favorite!

My favorite leggings are the powerhold style ones. They don’t move when you’re running or jumping. I’m so over tugging my pants up!

Salar Solid Powerhold

I have these in 7/8 length in multiple colors including the green below.

My favorite of all the colors is the Seaport. It’s not too bright but it’s just bright enough (for me) to be fun! These are so awesome! I also have them in navy, black and iron.

While you’re here, I want to clear up a BIG misconception about Fabletics. While yes, it is a membership site, you are NOT automatically charged each month.

Here’s the way it works:

On the first of every month, you’ll get an email with curated picks based on preferences you establish when you register.

You have 5 days to decide if you want to make a purchase or skip the month. If you skip the month, you aren’t charged.

If you don’t skip the month, you either buy something, or, they’ll charge you $49.95, which shows up as a credit on your account. It’s not a membership fee. You are free to skip and have 5 days to do so, or, it’s just in your account as a credit. They do a great job of explaining their services here.
