We’ve been talking a lot lately about this idea of your personal brand and rebranding yourself in a way that raises your performance to a higher standard. In episode 480 I introduced the idea for a Primal Potential rebrand and in episodes 481, 484 and 485 I shared some of my Masters Club clients rebrands.
Those episodes generated a TON of enthusiasm & excitement as well as a bunch of questions. In today’s episode, we’re answering those questions including:
Elizabeth, what’s your brand? What motivates you?
We’ll also tackle on some seemingly unrelated questions about working out, the microbiome and how frequently we indulge.

Hi EB –
I have tried to join your mailing list but I think my email address is getting blocked. I am now trying to add my work email instead. 🙂 Please add me to the weekly emails.
I found you and your podcast last fall through On Air with Ella. I was so moved-to-action by your no-nonsense approach and I went back and binge-listened to all of your podcast episodes, and just got caught up to current in March.
My dad passed away about 7 years ago at age 63 while going through preparations for gastric bypass surgery. Since I had always struggled with my weight as well, his death hit me hard and I knew I did not want to end up morbidly obese like him. Then I saw pictures of myself at my son’s Boy Scout Eagle ceremony (200#), that I joined Weight Watchers at-work meetings. I lost 50 pounds over 1.5 years and have kept it off for another 1.5 years. I feel so much better and I want to feel this way all of the time!
So now my focus has changed to maintaining my weight (losing a little more fat) and feeling great — and I love the suggestions and ideas I get from your podcasts. I am keeping a 31-day journal and focus on eating when I am hungry and eating whole foods (organic and pastured, etc.) (vs. the low-fat foods that are the focus on WW), getting more sleep and exercising (more weight training than in the past). I’ve been getting a little off track lately (mostly with overeating and not keeping up with the journal), so I am going back to focus on ONE THING. My one thing for today was “write before you bite”. I’m trying to balance being mindful but not be obsessed about what my health. My phone screen is “Do the Work” 🙂
I love your new idea of Transformation is Today – but it does seem a bit overwhelming. I love the science-y episodes but I like the motivational ones a little better because I feel like you are talking just to me. I laughed out loud when you mentioned in one of the episodes that a lady said that her husband said “it sounds like she is yelling at you” in your podcasts. My husband says the same thing. I guess I’m used to it and I love your passion. I miss the ‘what I ate’ segment and I am not on Instagram to catch that in your stories. I love the cabbage bowl and I eat variations on that several times per week. I love Thrive Market and buy stuff from them often.
So thanks for the podcasts – keep ’em coming and thanks for all you do do to share your journey and help me to appreciate my own.
Thank you SO MUCH for your message and your feedback. It does look like you are already on the VIP email list. Thanks for the feedback on “transformation is now” being overwhelming. My intention for and understanding of the message is that it’s the opposite. That it’s just about your very next choice. You can choose to make your best choice in your next moment. That’s all it takes.
I definitely think some of my episodes are more intense and many are far less intense. I intentionally switch it up because i Know so many people have different needs and preferences.
