I'm new to your podcast and excited to dive in but there are so many episodes! Where should I start?
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! When you’re able, shoot me an email and let me know more about your goals and challenges! You’re right – there are a TON of podcast episodes. Fortunately, they aren’t chronological. You certainly can start at the beginning and work forward, but a more common approach is to cherry pick titles and topics that speak to what you’re looking for right now. I'm overwhelmed by all the things I feel like I "should" be doing for my health, my weight and my life. I end up doing nothing, most of the time, because I'm just too overwhelmed. Do you have any advice for me?
Yes! I have so been there! You’re right – we have access to so much information – probably too much information. Here’s what I tell my clients all the time: overwhelm isn’t a function of having too much on your plate or too many options to consider. Overwhelm is a focus issue. It’s a focus opportunity. Overwhelm let’s us know that we’re focused on more than what we can do RIGHT NOW.

I feel defeated and like nothing will work for me. I've tried everything. Have you had success working with older clients that haven't yet had success?
Yes! No doubt about it! Here are a few important things to consider:
- Often, we struggle because we are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole – just *trying* to follow someone else’s plan or protocol instead of carefully creating our own. I’m a huge advocate for personalizing an approach that takes into account a variety of factors, especially your past patterns and most compelling excuses.
- More often that not, when we feel like nothing works, we have a habit of throwing in the towel when results don’t come fast enough or when we feel overwhelmed, frustrated or defeated. I help clients create a more intentional response to those feelings. We have to stay in the game and be curious, rather than critical.
- We tend to not even recognize that we’re trying the same *type* of approach over and over. It might be slightly different but the approach is fundamentally the same. New results require new approaches.
