If I could wave my magic wand and change your mind in some way, here are the three things I would immediately change…
Before I tell you what they are, let me tell you how this came about. I have a personal coaching practice that helps me help my clients. I routinely ask myself, “What are my clients teaching me? If I could wave my magic wand and give them a skill or perspective that would make their lives easier, what would I give them?”
This keeps me from getting frustrated and helps me focus on what they need and how I’ll give it to them.
The other day, in between workouts, my inbox was blowing up with emails from new clients. Since a new 12 Weeks to Transformation recently started, there are a lot of questions, a lot of eagerness and even a lot of desperation. Instead of getting frustrated, I asked myself one of those questions:
If I could wave my magic wand and give these clients something that would help them create change in their lives, what would I give them?
Today’s podcast is my answer to that question!

In October 2019, our relationship with Thrive Market changed. They decided to put their marketing dollars in avenues outside of podcasting but we still think they’re a good choice if you’re looking to save money on health & personal care products.
Hi Elizabeth, I loved today’s message. I have a happy and positive perspective about life and do all I can to enjoy each day being productive, taking care of myself, staying organized, spending time with family and friends, planning girls trips (NOLA in November and Greek cruise in June), volunteering at a local children’s hospital cuddling with NICU babies, and attending concerts (I’m seeing Maroon 5 with my daughter this week in Philadelphia, yeah!!!——I saw Ed Sheeran last month, so adorable). The best take away from your podcast is to focus on what I can do to create change and progress toward my goal to lose 20 lbs. I have practiced and mastered, for the most part, delaying my first meal of the day (usually 11am or later), no carbs till dinner meal, eat Whole Foods, drink 50-64 oz of water daily, salad and/or veggies everyday, sleeping great 7-9 hrs, and meditate most days. I feel really good at 62 years old, am happy with my energy level and have no health issues. I am very grateful and blessed for all I have. I have not made progress with weight loss and I know my big rocks (evening eating and consistency) are what’s holding me back. I won’t give up on making new habits with these two issues. My new strategy to keep me busy in the evening while watching tv is to do a jigsaw puzzle. I don’t miss a podcast and have incorporated so many of your suggestions which have helped me reduce the crazy all day cravings which are such a relief to be rid of and your focused perspective is a steady reminder for me. Thank you for being a part of my life even though we’ve never met. You’ve helped me so much.
Yes! I sure remember living a life of “I’ll be happy when …” (the answer was usually some combo of “when I get thin” or “when my business reaches X” etc). I have given that up and it is so freeing! And I appreciate the little things that were there but didn’t see, like a gorgeous sunrise. It takes work sometimes but you make it so much easier thank you!!
A very powerful message. Thank you!
