All or nothing is about cycles of intensity & avoidance. All or nothing approaches to fat loss overlook the key to success: consistent execution of the basics. We love dramatic approaches that create dramatic results, even if they aren’t sustainable. Here’s the thing: it’s not sexy, it’s not glamorous and it’s not exciting but it is both effective and sustainable: know your basics and ruthlessly pursue consistency. In today’s episode we’re talking about what it looks like when we skip the basics and pursue intensity and how to create a much more effective approach.

Primal Potential Episode 369: Chasing Excellence
Chasing Excellence by Ben Bergeron
I think a great way to celebrate the 500th episode and celebrate the anniversary of Primal Potential would be for you to interview several of your clients that successfully went through your programs and how it impacted their lives. We already know Elizabeth has been successful in her weight loss journey…but I want to know how her guidance helped others and transformed their lives!
Yes! I totally agree! It won’t be episode 500 but I’m planning a couple shortly after (maybe even 1 before)
I have an episode request. Not for the 500th episode but just in general. I know you’ve talked about food and travel, but I’m wondering if you could talk about food and travel in relation to hanging out with family that doesn’t eat like I do. For example I spent the weekend with my pregnant sister and my brother that’s a chef. I want to eat bad around them. I held it together and ate good food but I ate much more of it than I wanted to and left feeling gross and slightly out of control. Love your podcast and the tough, straight up truth you give us.
Hi Holly! Thanks for the suggestion! I’d love to dive deeper into this with YOU, versus in general. What thoughts do you choose/create that make you want to eat “bad” around them? Also: what’s “bad”? What makes it “bad”? What else is true?
