What Is Breaking Barriers

In October 2019, our relationship with Thrive Market changed. They decided to put their marketing dollars in avenues outside of podcasting but we still think they’re a good choice if you’re looking to save money on health & personal care products.

Are You In The Way Or On The Way?

Are you in the way or on the way?

If you’d rather listen to this blog than read it, please click here.

Look at the things that matter most to you:

Your relationships, your health, your career, your goals in any arena – are you on the way or are you in the way?

Are you doing the work to make progress or are you making excuses, exceptions & other plans?

My clients and I work really hard, in the Fat Loss Fast Tracks & the Masters Club, on not falling into the pattern of beating ourselves up.

Yeah, we make choices we don’t feel great about. We make excuses. Maybe we look up & find that we are, in fact, in the way of our goals.

Okay. Own it. Then, transform your inner critic into your inner coach.

This is an opportunity. This is an opportunity for you to be your best coach instead of your biggest critic.

Even when you find that you’re in the way: it’s an opportunity.

Time to step up, be your best coach and define one thing you can do to get out of the way and get on your way.

Act Your Way To Positive Thinking

You can try to think your way to positive acting, but you’ll find it much more effective to act your way to positive thinking.

If you’d rather listen to this blog than read it, please click here.

In today’s podcast, episode 415, I shared that powerful quote from Dan Clark:

It’s easier to act your way to positive thinking than think your way to positive acting.

This has been a real theme here lately on the podcast & blog.

It’s time to get in the game. It’s time to get off the side line and take action.

We can game plan, strategize & stress all day long but what we really need to do is take action.

When clients email me & say “I’m stuck!” I challenge them to identify one thing they are able & willing to do today to take action towards their goals.

Whatever time of day it is when you read or hear this, I want you to stop and ask yourself what ONE choice you can make in the next 20 minutes to move in the direction of your goals.

Ask yourself that question repeatedly. Every day. Throughout the day. Ask it when you’re in a great mood and when you’re in a terrible mood.

Ask it when you’re motivated and especially ask it when you’re not.

What are you able & willing to do in the next 20 minutes to get in the game and take a step towards the life or outcome you want?

Make the rest of your day the best of your day!

415: 7 Steps To Your Happiest Life

This could be the most helpful, useful podcast in Primal Potential history. I cannot wait for you to hear it! Today I’m going to introduce you to 7 steps that will help you, starting today, create your happiest life. Your healthiest life.

The other day, on the beach, I read “How To Write Like Tolstoy” and it opens up with a quote I loved:

Peter Carey: I was finally a writer.

Interviewer: What was it that was clicking?

Carey: Age, experience, a simpler form, practice, reading, influence, getting beyond influence.

Today we are talking about how to leverage age, experience, a simpler form, practice, reading, influence & getting beyond influence to create your happiest life.

I’ll tell you how I’ve done it, how I’m continuing to improve in these areas, what tools I use and what implementation looks like in your life.

Before you dive into the episode: a quick reminder that registration for the first Fat Loss Fast Track group of 2018 opens up in just a few weeks. Make sure you’re on the wait list!

Simon Sinek & The Bagel Story

The Universal Success Step

The other day I heard the very best universal solution to almost every problem.

I was reading the book “How to Write Like Tolstoy” and the author tells a story about the brother of a famous playwrite.

The young brother was an aspiring, struggling writer who routinely went to his successful sibling for edits & advice.

The famous playwrite always had the same advice for his brother:

Abridge! Abridge!

Okay. Where am I going with this? How is that related to universal success?

Abridge means: shorten without losing the sense; curtail.

When we are struggling in any way, we can benefit from simplifying/shortening/abridging.

We can simplify the narrative in our heads.

We can edit out the drama. We can remove the excuses & emotion.

We can cut back on the description of the problem and get more quickly to the solution.

We can cut down our list of potential outcomes and get to work on just ONE.
No matter the problem, I think we can all benefit from this universal advice: abridge! Abridge!

Speaking of shortening…today’s daily blog is absolutely abbreviated because my airport wifi is being less than cooperative!

See you tomorrow!
